To my Daughters-in-law

This morning, I made some breakfast bars (rice crispy treats) and headed for a potluck breakfast with the girls at the Kilchis River Day area. Someone had gone early enough to build a campfire and set up the table with a floral centerpiece. Most everyone was already there, sitting in their camp chairs around the fire. It was a cloudy, cool morning, but dry at the river - misty in town.

We stood around the table in a circle, joined hands and sang together, first in unison, then in a beautiful harmony:

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

We ate breakfast together - muffins, fruit kabobs, breakfast sandwiches, more fruit, more muffins, it was delicious.

Then it was time to celebrate birthdays! First, someone prayed for the birthday girl, the cards were passed around and we laughed hilariously. Seriousness followed while we prayed for the next birthday girl, followed again by more laughter. We celebrated 4 birthdays, followed by more visiting and good times together.

I tell you all of that to say, my wish for each of you is for good food, good friends who will support you in prayer, and friends with whom you can laugh until your belly hurts!

Love you all!
Mom
