Just When I Thought My Week Couldn't Get Worse!!!!

(Don't worry, there were no injuries reported.)

I got the phone call, "Um, I just got in a wreck." One of our drivers rear-ended a car that was sitting in the right lane because it had just rear-ended the truck in front of it. Our truck plowed that car into the truck in front of it, reducing it's size by approximately 1/3. Our driver then clipped the truck that was in front of the car but still thought he could swerve into the middle lane and avoid an accident. Well that sent the truck that was already in the middle lane into the truck that was occupying the left lane and then both of those trucks smashed into the big concrete median. And to top it off, our truck made it all the way to the median and finally came to a stop broadside blocking all lanes of traffic. Oh yeah, did I mention this was on I-5 North by the Lombard Exit in morning traffic? Needless to say, I am pretty sure that 3 of the 5 vehicles involved are totaled. I am so glad the weekend is here!!
